In a normal year Branche would of had his name called somewhere in the middle rounds. However with a truncated draft he wound up having to wait until after all the selections were made to sign a free agent contract with Cincinnati. He's a late bloomer from the Division III ranks but the electric fastball and developing secondaries will eventually land him in a major league bullpen.
