Large frame and an average build with some mild projection remaining; works quickly out of a semi-windup, above-average arm speed, 3/4 arm slot; has moderate effort in the delivery. |

Flat but does have some arm-side run and late life; currently more control than command; velocity will increase with physical maturity. |

Plays well off the fastball, Olson replicates the arm speed very well. Pitch tumbles out of the zone, true swing and miss offering. |

Currently inconsistent but pitch has potential to be plus; two-plane break secondary, will sweep out of the zone, will put it on the backfoot of lefties. |

Only threw a handful in this look; 12-6 shape, has some depth but currently lacks feel; will improve to an average offering with more reps. |
A prep arm taken in the 13th round of the 2018 draft, Olson is getting his first shot at a full time starting role. There's some stiffness and effort in the delivery which can make the control waver at times. That might eventually push him back to a bullpen role but with two plus secondaries he'll be tough on hitters late in the game.
