Throws out of stretch only, high leg kick with knee slightly above waist at apex, high three-quarter arm slot, long arm motion, goes below waist and completes a circle at release point, under control till release, hard finish, right leg will occasionally swing hard to first base after release. Repeatable delivery, good extension. |

With four pitches that can produce whiffs in any count, Whitley has the potential to be a dominant starter. But injury concerns and a mechanical change this year slowed those expectations. However, the 22-year-old still shows plenty of upside and should be given every opportunity to max out his potential.
