Large frame with an athletic build, has room for potential growth; works extremely fast, high energy. Plus arm speed, 3/4 armslot, moderate effort in the delivery and some recoil upon landing. |

Electric pitch, has life, makes hitters look uncomfortable; has some arm side run, allows him to stay off barrels. Delivery can get a little out of sync at times causing the command to waver. |

12-6 shape, has bite and will buckle knees when he's got a good feel for it; struggles with consistency and will lose his release point. Anticipated plus offering with future gains in consistency. |

Only showed a handful, good velocity separation, will play well off the fastball; looks to be a future above-average offering. |
McClanahan, a former first round pick, has nasty stuff. The type that, when he's got everything right, it makes hitters look uncomfortable. He needs to find consistency with the secondaries and command but with his athleticism and three pitch mix he's got a fairly high floor. Profiles as a no. 3 starter or a high leverage bullpen arm if the change does not fully develop.
