pounded the zone, using FB almost exclusively early; was 93 - 95 for first 4 innings, then lost velo quickly--was 88 - 90 when pulled; velocity down a tick from the stretch; gets downhill with FB due to release; pitch stays straight with occasional, slight armside run |
SL |

sharp tilt with downward action greatly aided by release; slight sweep, like downhill cutter; mostly gloveside use; doesn't seem to trust as anything outside of a putaway pitch |

arm slows, doesn't always finish pitch; straight change with separation from FB; flashes ability to change look with some float to pitch; inconsistent control; mostly armside use |

pounds the zone with FB; nibbles and struggles with offspeed |
COMMAND |

while FB can still gain movement, good feel and comfort; has confidence in SL to end at-bats and bury; CH has most room to grow |
Former 1-1 pick with plus FB and avg offspeed offerings. FB sits plus, gets downhill, and pounds the strike zone. Not afraid to use heavily early. Maintaining velocity an issue after it dropped considerably in later innings. SL is his out-pitch with sharp downward tilt. CH is straight with some room to improve. Command/control are avg tools. Profiles as a 3 starter, quality 4 starter at worst.
