Exceeds listed weight; thick torso and legs; stocky overall build; drop-and-drive guy which doesn't play well with his height or arm slot; low-3/4 slot; slings the ball at the plate; hides the ball well; some deception that keeps hitters uncomfortable; keeps delivery consistent despite lack of athleticism; very slow to the plate; 1.78-1.84 most of time; pickoff is nothing special; can run on him. |

Maintained velo in stretch; pitch comes out of his hand well; has some hop at the plate despite mediocre velo; can work down in the zone at times and when he does the fastball features average sink; won't blow hitters away with pitch but can get weak contact; elevates to frequently and must stay lower in zone; lacks angle to plate because of drop-and-drive delivery, lack of height, and low slot; anything above the bottom third of the zone doesn't change plane enough to fool hitters; average pitch that gets the job done. |
Slider |

Thrown hard relative to fastball velocity; loose spin and sweepy break; occasionally tightened it up and got the bottom to fall out at the plate; used it well off FB, allowing him to get some weak swings and weak contact; not a go-to pitch; merely useable. |
Changeup |

82-84 |
|
Consistently showed good sink; needs to keep pitch low; shows same problems as FB when elevated; enough velo separation and movement to get some swing and miss; changeup was preferred secondary pitch in both outings; potential average MLB pitch if he stays down with it and doesn't force it; let the natural sink do the work. |
Nothing flashy; didn't back down from opposing hitters; challenged with fastball like he has 4-5 more mph on the gun; confident use of changeup; slider works as show-me pitch; mixes well; throws lots of strikes but doesn't always locate in the strike zone; FB command is below-average and needs to improve for MLB success; low ceiling player; grinds while on the mound and can chew innings.
