Hit 45 Upright, slightly open stance w/ a leg kick load. Advanced approach overall; w/ a good feel for the strike zone, pitch recognition ability & swinging w/ intent in positive counts. There is some length to the swing (thanks to his long levers & how hard he swings) that results in swing/miss & will lead to high strikeout rates, but he should have the aptitude to make some adjustments when behind in the count. It might wind up as more of a .240-­.250 bat, but should come w/ high walk rates.
Power 60 Easy plus raw power at present & will likely grow into plus-­plus at physical maturity. Natural loft in the stroke & swings to do damage. Impact to all fields. 25-­30 HR type power bat.
Baserunning/Speed 45 Roughly average runner at present & will likely lose a half step as he continues to fill out. Stolen base count is misleading, but he does have solid instincts on the bases.
Glove 50 Speed limits him to an outfield corner. Instincts are just OK. A bit of a stiff athlete w/ average range. Won't be an asset, but should be able to profile as an average glove in RF.
Arm 55 Above­-average strength. RF fit.
Overall

There’s impact upside here accompanied w/ a good bit of hit tool variance, but Veen realistically projects as a an above-average middle of the order run producer.
