Hit	55	SQ stance w/ a wide base, high hands & good rhythm. Quick hands w/ above-average bat speed & plus bat control. Swing-happy approach at present, resulting in poor swing decisions. Doesn't appear to have any trouble picking up spin & offspeed, just needs to develop more of an approach & hone in on pitch selection, specifically in positive counts. There's some variance & upside for more, but most likely outcome is a .260-.270 bat w/ relatively low walk rates.
Power	50	Solid to above-average raw power. Generates it easily & is beginning to tap into it more frequently in-game. 15-20 HR potential.
Baserunning/Speed	60	Consistent 4.20-4.25 run times. Potential to swipe 20 bags & will take the extra base.
Glove	55	Athleticism plays. Fluid actions w/ good footwork & soft hands. Moves well laterally. Can make all the plays & then some. True SS fit.
Arm	60	Above-average, maybe plus strength w/ the ability to consistently land throws on-target from different angles & with his feet moving.

There's some approach-related hit tool variance, but Tovar's glove/raw feel for contact give him a relatively high floor & should ultimately help him profile as a solid to above-average regular at a premium position.
