Hit	55	Excellent hands allow him to get the bat on the ball often. Above average bat speed. Gets out of sync a bit with the lower half and loses power when fooled a bit, leading to weak flies to the opposite field. Approach advanced for age and recognizes above average breaking stuff, but still a bit over-aggressive on stuff slightly outside the zone.
Power	40	Fringy raw power, but Garcia gets to a surprising amount of it with an XBH driven-approach. Gap powers to the opposite field from both sides of the plate and home run power pullside.
Baserunning/Speed	30	"Fast for a catcher" is a backhanded compliment and it rings true here. Currently a 40 runner, but won't be for long as he continues to put muscle on his lower half and play catcher 100 games per season.
Glove	60	Premium hands with strong wrists and fluid controlled actions. Hands glide to ball and stick when the ball meets the glove. Good footwork and blocking abilities.
Arm	60	1.89 pop time to 2nd. Quick efficient footwork with plus arm strength and excellent accuracy.

David Garcia is a good athlete with advanced catching abilities and quality offensive markers that should allow him to project as a tandem catcher at the MLB level. Garcia's quality hit tool and approach along with a "drive the ball" mentality will likely let him provide enough value with the bat to allow his quality defensive profile to shine through.

If playing catcher and the grind stiffens Garcia's swing up as he ages, his carrying tool on the offensive side will be limited and he would likely be relegated to a up/down role. If Garcia maintains his athleticism and improves his approach moving through the system and carrying a heavy workload, he could be a solid regular on a first division team.
